Feven Mamo is an Ethiopian photographer based in Oakland, California. Born and raised in Addis Ababa, she spent her childhood moving through different neighborhoods—experiences that shaped her understanding of place, memory, and belonging.

Her practice is rooted in preserving moments that might otherwise fade, using photography to hold onto memory and honor life's continuous unfolding. Through her images, she explores identity, culture, and how our histories shape the way we move through the world.

Coming from multiple tribal cultures in Ethiopia and having traveled widely across the country, Feven draws deeply from the richness and diversity of the people she's encountered. She approaches photography with curiosity, care, and a desire to create space for connection.
